Insurance
I accept the following insurance:
- Aetna
- Blue Cross Blue Shield
If you are seeing me out-of-network, full payment is due at the time of each session. Upon request, I can provide you with a superbill that you can then submit to your insurance company. If you have out-of-network benefits, your insurance will then directly reimburse you at the negotiated rate. Prior to making an appointment, please call your insurance to verify:
- Out of Network benefits
- whether you need a referral or pre-approval for therapy
- how much they will reimburse you per session
- your deductible
- how to submit superbills
- how long reimbursement takes
If you have any questions about payments or insurance, I am happy to help, so please ask.
Cancellation and Late Policy
We all have reasons for needing to cancel or reschedule appointments. If you are unable to make it to your appointment, please let me know at least 24-hours in advance. This allows me to rearrange my schedule in a timely manner for both myself and other clients, and is very much appreciated.
Cancellations less than 24-hours in advance will be subject to a $100 fee, except in the case of emergencies. Since emergencies do come up, my policy allows for one no-show per year without charge. If you are running late, please call or message me and I can hold your session. Otherwise, after 15 minutes, I will consider it a no-show.
With limited exceptions, I do not reschedule no-call, no-show initial assessment sessions.
Good Faith Estimate
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost.
Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.
- You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.
- You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.
- If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
- Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit http://www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 800-985-3059.
